View 12 Replies PC Keeps Crashing After Update Sep 15, 2015Īfter I have done the update to windows 10. Below is my logfile. This is linked to a problem I have with yahoo constantly coming up as my search engine and homepage even though its actually google. My laptop crashes every time I scan and then try to clean the issues identified by Adwcleaner. View 10 Replies Crashing After Using Adwcleaner Oct 12, 2015 View 9 Replies Facebook App Crashing Aug 7, 2015įacebook app crashes as soon as it loads on my laptop which has been upgraded to windows 10. From checks I've done, it doesn't look like fragmentation, nor RAM (8GB), nor registry issues, nor a monitor problem. I used software, PC Health Advisor, to try to diagnose the problem, and it hasn't signalled up anything specifically. In Yahoo, similarly, the screen freezes, the cursor won't move at all, and have to unplug. In Word the cursor freezes and will not move, the screen goes opaque white, the blue circle whirls, can't do anything with it, can't shut down, and I have to unplug it and reboot. What's been happening is that it's been stalling out, both in Word (without broadband on) and on the Web (eg Yahoo, Yahoo Mail). This is an HP Pavilion, model 500-123a, running Windows 10 (recently upgraded from Windows 8). I have had persistent problems recently with my computer freezing/crashing. I don't think it's a driver issue because i clean re-installed it yesterday. My games in general actually have been pretty unstable, like Witcher 3 etc. The problems are happening after Windows 10, I think something is screwing around with my GPU or my GPU driver. and yet running the installer, says it's not. We're basically done after about, 30+ tries, but all of a sudden, I CRASH :C. both the Intel website and the first screen for the driver installer says it's supported. So, wait, what? I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, on a Haswell-family CPU. "This operating system is not supported." Except, when I run the installer, it says: I've downloaded the latest drivers from Intel ( here), and it lists that it supports the HD 4600 (which is what this laptop came with) on Windows 10. So, I figure I should upgrade to Windows 10-specific drivers. The odd thing I noticed about this is how the error reads "Intel HD Video for Windows 8.1" (or something to that effect). It really isn't a BIG problem, but a problem still.įrequently, I'm finding that the Intel GPU driver crashes, especially when watching video. I updated my PC to Windows 10 a while back, and it's been pretty smooth sailing.
